Sand
Manufactured washed sands are an essential ingredient for concrete production; producing strengths exceeding that of less angular natural alluvial sands. BoDean Company’s sand products can be used for horse arenas, septic mounds, PG&E bedding, high quality permeable drain systems, masonry, playgrounds, blend sand for pump-ability and finishing, and underneath pavers and sports fields. Meets ASTM C-33 types and has a blue-green/grey color.

Concrete Mix (Con-Mix)
Concrete Mix is an essential ingredient for concrete production. Comes separately or in combination of 3/8” x #8, 1” x #4, and ASTM C-33 washed sand. Available at the Mark West Quarry.

Permeables
High quality permeable materials consist of washed sand and crushed rock, are free of deleterious substances and are necessary for backfilling trenches and placement around underdrains especially when using in lieu of expensive filter fabrics. Comes in CL I (A or B) and CL II types.

Clay
This fine clay “cake” material might be considered a waste by-product by some, but for BoDean Co. that makes it a green product both literally and figuratively that can qualify for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) credits. It can be used as a natural locally produced pond liner for vineyards, used with compost to provide cohesion and mineral value, tile and brick manufacturing, and as a land-fill cover.

Pond Liner
BoDean Company’s micro-fine clay material is suited well as a natural locally produced pond liner for vineyards, evaporative ponds, and for waste water treatment lagoons and can qualify for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) credits. Meets coefficient permeability of 1 x 10-7 cm/sec.

Rail Ballast
Rail ballast provides the base upon which railroad ties are laid and bedded. It provides for drainage and prevents vegetation from growing. BoDean Company’s ballast is designed to be strong, hard-wearing, stable, drainable, easy to clean, and workable.
