We all share a common social obligation to be good stewards of our natural resources & to use business practices that are built around sustainability. This core value has prompted BoDean Company to invest in new technologies and practices that have led to a greater utilization of renewable resources, a reduction in energy consumption and its carbon footprint significantly since before 2006.

Whether it is the growth of our recycling operations, utilizing the Sun’s heat to dry our aggregates, our Mark West Quarry becoming the first quarry in the world to operate 100% under photo-voltaic (PV) solar power, or our practice of reclamation concurrent with mining, we will continue our leadership efforts at demonstrating how innovation can lead not only to greater sustainability, but to greater profitability as well.

BoDean Company’s current efforts will result in the reduction of over 15,000 tons of GHG (Green House Gas or CO2 emissions) between the years 2010 - 2020 which is the equivalent of a medium sized car travelling 37,500,000 miles.
